Go-To Effortless Everyday Makeup

One of those days you’re just so uninspired to get ready in the morning that the last thing you wanna do is pick your makeup and outfit. I actually press snooze five times just to consider this issue. Somehow all those shimmery eyeshadow don’t look very inviting and you just want to slap on something that you won’t despise at the end of the day. I might change one or two things but the general idea is all the same – mostly matte eye and a variety of lipsticks.

I’m applying Dior Nude Aire in 010 with a Beauty Blender.  On my dark circles, I’m using Urban Decay Naked concealer in Fair Neutral and setting my whole face with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light. I like to keep the cheeks neutral and fresh-looking with the Chanel Le Blush Crème in Cheeky. It’s a no-brainer.

Okay, that kind of looks like a lot of stuff

Eyes. Start with a primer. Then I’m sweeping Inglot 357 in my socket but use which ever medium brown eyeshadow suits your colouring. All over my eyelid, I’m applying the lightest shade from the Chanel Raffinement quad. I love how it’s champagne with hints of lilac. Alternatively, I sometimes use any matte vanilla shade I have on hand (think Urban Decay Strange). I’m softening the edges before applying the reddish brown from the Nars Dolomites duo in the socket but concentrating it more on the outer corner. If I’m feeling fancy I’ll darken it even more with the darkest shade from the quad or run the reddish brown on my lower lash line. Applying the Dior Iconic Overcurl in Brun on top lashes and the Chanel Style Yeux Waterproof in Ambre Doré in the waterline to finish off the look.

You can really pair any lip colour with this look. Today, I used Urban Decay lip pencil in Liar. Creamy, long-lasting and mauve. Right up my alley! My other favourites have been Chanel L’Adorée and Revlon Rosewine.

I swear the simplest looks take the longest time (or the most explaining). But there must be something about it if I’ve been picking it over everything else. I feel it looks quite elegant and put-together. Have a lovely day and I’ll see you next week!
