Updated Foundation Routine + Blog Schedule

Burberry BB Cream, Urban Decay Naked Skin, Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish

Things have got a little bit mixed up with scheduling last month. I missed monthly faves simply because I didn’t feel like I had too many products to feature and then this post was supposed to go up two weeks ago but my Charlotte Tilbury ordered took 26 days to arrive. Let’s just move on. I switched up my base products yet again. It’s definitely still a light base with a luminous finish but there is a new powder in town (nah, just my makeup stash) and it’s a good one for combating the summer heat bit-too-shiny effect.

Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream in Fair. Of course, I wrote a review on it. I’m still amazed at the fact that you cannot see it on the skin and yet it evens it out beautifully. I like to apply it with a brush, it just doesn’t blend in right with my fingers. At the moment I’ve been enjoying the Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face. It feels well in your hand being pretty short and makes blending in so effortless. I don’t think I could bear to cake on a foundation right now so this hits the spot perfectly and is so comfortable on your skin.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Fair Neutral. It has been a recent blogger favourite, often chosen over the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer. I haven’t tried that one but from what I hear, my dark circles could benefit from a tube. This one is a very lightweight and non-drying formula. I have many lines under my eyes and I just hate when concealers look heavy and bring attention onto that. This one really doesn’t and it’s a love. I will however say, that sometimes it is not enough to cover my blue veins or completely erase a red blemish. In those cases, Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Bisque and Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NC15 respectively come in handy but yup, I need to give the Nars one a go!

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder in Fair. I was sold at the Art Deco compact and the most divine fragrance as Charlotte Tilbury has infused this baby with almond oil and rose wax to nourish the skin. Move away, rose-scented Chanel blushes, I need this blend of rose and almond oil bottled. I was a tiny bit sceptical though when I noticed this powder is only 8g. In comparison, Hourglass Ambient powders are 10, Chanel Les Beiges is 12, Chanel Poudre Universaille is 15. Part of me thought I might not exactly get my money’s worth but… I am impressed with the performance. The real test is always my forehead which is the only part of my face that gets the unwanted shine these days but it really held up beautifully from morning to evening without any touch-ups. Oil-controlling for sure even if you’re wearing a base as luminous as the Burberry BB cream. I apply with the Powder & Sculpt brush and the powder is so finally milled that even if you’re willing to just use it as a setting powder, it will never look heavy on the skin.

Rose and almond oil fragrance ode done. Base products applied. I’m really happy with the finished look. So natural on the skin! What have been your go-to products lately?

Blog update: for the past few months, I’ve been posting on Tuesdays and Thursday but this month, I’m planning something that takes up most on my energy and that’s why for the month of August, there’ll be post for you each Wednesday with an occasional extra on Friday.

  1. I’ll have to give this concealer and powder a try. The NARS creamy concealer is one of the heaviest concealers I’ve ever used and I don’t know why it is so raved about, I have lines under my eyes and it is so heavy! Sharonthemakeupartist on youtube uses it and buffs it in, that is what I do as I don’t wanna waste it. xx
You’re beautiful and your blog is fab xxx

    1. How’s the coverage? Sometimes I feel like I need more and that’s why I wanted to try it. I may be wrong but I feel like a lot of Youtubers pack in on so heavily I can’t help but cringe.

And thank you for the compliment! X

      1. It is pretty good coverage to be fair, Similar to M.A.C Pro-longwear but just a bit heavier on the skin. I put eye cream on then pop this on straight away and buff! 🙂 ❤

  2. I saw the Urban Decay Naked Skin when I was in Sephora earlier this week. I didn’t get it because I didn’t know if it would be full enough coverage for me. You might not be able to answer this because you have great skin, but how do you think the coverage is?

    1. Thanks! The coverage is great considering how light it is. It covers most of my veins and redness but I wouldn’t call it full coverage. You can definitely build it though because it layers easily. Hope this helps you in some way.
