August Favourites: Beauty and Lifestyle

Mac Honeylove, Tom Ford Terra Bronzer, Charlotte Tilbury Powder, Chanel Rouge Noir

Keeping it short and sweet today. It’s been a crazy month. My previous two posts were all dedicated to London and I will say it has been quite life-changing but bloody fab at the same time! With that it was quite a weird month as I spent the first half preparing the move and the second half adjusting to the new place. So let’s get on with it!

Mac Honeylove, Tom Ford Terra Bronzer, Charlotte Tilbury Powder, Chanel Rouge Noir

Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Terra – I have a review coming up on this one next week but it’s all glory. Little teaser there for you, huh? This one was my birthday treat and I basically became a new step added into my makeup routine. It’s quite refreshing. Terra is a brilliant shade to contour with. It’s not along the lines of Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium in both formula and shade. The bottom line is it just looks so natural on the skin.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Powder in Fair – upon first application and full-day test wear, I know it was going to be love. I do still feel like I’m going to hit pan on it very quickly as you don’t get that much product but I don’t even care. You can’t see the powder on the skin, it’s literally like you haven’t put any on bar the fact that it finishes the makeup off beautifully and keeps oils at bay the whole day on my moody forehead.

Mac Lipstick in Honeylove – shoutout to the Mac Foubert’s Place counter. I met the loveliest ladies there but Honeylove basically became the new Nars Barbara/Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria. Now, there is no surprise in that but it’s just so darn easy to easy. It’s sort of similar to Very Victoria in the sense that I like to apply a light layer and then basically can’t even feel I have lipstick on. With the lovely light browny nude shade, it’s all I can ask for.

Chanel Nail Polish in Rouge Noir – the bottle I have is almost done so I basically can only use it on my toes. Rouge Noir is a classic and a little early nod to autumn since I’ve worn it all through August. It’s almost black with a hint of red and I loved the contrast it created against my beige sandals. Sadly, those were defeated by the rain but they were a favourite as well!

Nakd Salted Caramel Nibbles – throwing in a little food favourite. Raw vegan bars are the most deliciously healthy snack you can ever have. Frankly, I was quite surprised to find Boots is stocking them but well, I don’t mind. In terms on the standard bars I love the Cashew Cookie but these Salted Caramel Nibbles are to die for and all it is is dates, cashews and raisins.

From the last haul, I’ve been quite naughty so you can expect loads of new content coming up. I might even consider posting three times a week. That is if I don’t get too busy with the London life. But what have you been loving this month? Enjoy the rest of your day and I’ll see you next time!

    1. Yes, I was lusting over her line since it launched. Her original foundation didn’t have a shade match for me but I might try this one even if I haven’t been into foundations lately! X
