Work Makeup Uniform

So I guess the key to work makeup is finding balance between professional and not over the top and I won’t suggest wearing mascara and concealer because I’m one of those people who get up early just so they can spend thirty minutes doing their makeup.

As I mentioned it my review, whenever I need my makeup to last I go with Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet in B10. Under my eyes I use Urban Decay Naked Skin in Fair Neutral and set it all with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light. Contouring is the step I never skip for work, as you definitely want to look chiseled so I go in with my Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Terra around my forehead, under my cheekbones and jawline. As always, keeping blush neutral with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure.

I keep the eyes fairly simple. I start off running Makeup Geek Frappe in my socket line, apply the second lightest shade from the Chanel Raffinement Quad all over the eyelid and diffuse the edges with a blending brush. For more definition, I ran Mac Eye Kohl in Costa Riche on my top lashline and then add some Frappe on the lower lashline. Finishing it off with Chanel Inimitable Intense in Rouge Noir on my top lashes.

For the lips, I skip the bolds as it’s extremely high maintenance if you spend your whole day talking to  people like me. Ugh, introvert struggles. I go with my dark nudes and I’ve recently rediscovered my Mac Lipstick in Twig which I used to wear everyday for a period of time. It’s a Satin and it tends to wear off slightly so I like to pair it with my Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Iconic Nude.

There’s my look finished. The steps are not that complex so I can easily do it while having my morning coffee and catching up on the latest episode of The Good Wife. What is your go-to makeup look for work?
