As I finally found the product that sorts out my dehydration, I figured I might as well bring you a skincare routine. Let’s get all personal now as I tell you all my skin concerns. My skin is generally dry but I do suffer from clogged pores around my nose and my forehead gets pretty oily. At the same time, apparently I’m all about minimalism, wardrobe and skincare included.
The first two steps are identical morning and evening so I’ll just get them out of the way first. My cleanser of choice is Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, very much courtesy of Anna. It’s great for adding a bit of glow in the morning as well as taking off your makeup and properly cleansing your skin in the evening. Then I go in with Pixi Glow Tonic which is a relatively new product for me. At the moment I am using a sample size as I wasn’t sure if it would work on my skin but I have texture issues all over my face and I definitely noticed a difference since using this.
Morning:
I have a sort of love-hate relationship with mornings so I like to keep things minimal and the only other thing I do is apply Pixi h2o Skindrink which adds hydration but comes in a gel so it makes for a great makeup base/you don’t have to wait half an hour for it to sink in. If my undereyes are particularly dry, I will also go in with Bobbi Brown Eye Repair Cream. It will get rid of the worst of dry patches. Again, living off a generous samp
ple I got at the counter but you barely use any product anyway as it’s a very balmy texture.
Evening:
Depending on the day I will use Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate or Origins High Potency Night-a-mins Mineral-enriched Renewal Cream. Daily I stick to the Origins one which got a mention in my October Favourites and it is the night cream I’ve been looking for and it’s like my skincare routine is suddenly all sorted. But I will use the Kiehl’s oil if I have a particularly dry area on my face and it shall be solved overnight. Or at least, partly sorted out.
Have you tried any of these products? What is your life-changing skincare product?
