Top Ten Makeup Products

DSC02140I swear I didn’t do it deliberately but ultimately there is a lot of Chanel involved but even though it’s a highly luxurious brand I don’t think people realise how excellent their products are and it’s not just a name you’re paying for. Before I go on, let me just quickly mention that these products are listed in the order they came to my mind when I was writing this post. I probably reviewed most of this products so if you want to read more about any of them, it’s all linked.Chanel Accent, Mac Groundwork, Nars Barbara, Chanel Raffinement, Mac Red Chestnut

Mac Pro Longwear Brow Set in Red Chestnut – this product completely changed my makeup routine. The colour is perfect, the brush is small enough, it stays on.

Tom Ford Terra Bronzing Powder – this comes in second as I previously would only contour occasionally but this one creates a shadow, requires no blending and is another step I added to my daily makeup.

Mac Eye Kohl in Costa Riche – I’ve always liked a brown kohl but this one has a very complimentary reddish tone which adds more interest and it has definitely replaced Teddy.

Chanel Quad in Raffinement – the shimmers on the three shadows are so sophisticated and brightening while the matte is great for adding definition. I love the purple hint in every single one of these and it’s just my everyday go-to.

Nars Audacious Lipstick in Barbara – I was bound to love it as Barbara is my favourite name but surprise surprise it still remains my favourite shade, it’s darker and more brown that my natural lip colour and just looks very elegant.

Chanel Joues Contraste in Accent – when I first bought it, I thought it smells nice (roses) but overtime, I’ve fallen in love. It’s along the lines of Alezane or Golden Sun but not quite the same. Lasts all day and adds the most beautiful healthy glow.

Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet in B10 – the only base I would wear on its own, no concealer and powder needed. But whenever I need my makeup to look flawless 12+ hours, I go for this on.

Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Rouge Noir – half of the reason why I like it is the tube, the colour and the brush’s ease of use. It separates the lashes, defines them, doesn’t feel crispy and can be built up.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light – this one doubles up as setting powder and highlighter for me. It is a very pale yellow so it settles down any access red you might have in your skin and if you use it on high points, it subtly highlights.

Mac Pain Pot in Groundwork – I like to wear this one on its own with Costa Riche or as a base for different eye looks. It works great for both as it’s just has the slightest red/purple undertone that makes it better than a standard brown.

I could basically do my whole face with these ten and I would definitely repurchase all of them! What are the must-haves in your stash?
