Top 15 of 2015

Oskia, Burberry, Makeup Geek Frappe, Mac Chili, NYX Butter, Diptyque Tam Dao, Nars Douceur, Tom Ford Terra, Chanel Exception2015 was indeed a life-changing year for me. I moved. I blogged. I read up about minimalism lifestyle quite a bit (sneak peak of what might be coming in 2016!). My world just basically turned upside down and I’m just trying to figure things out. Nonetheless, I’m sharing with you the products that stood out to me in the whole of 2015.

Tom Ford Terra, Makeup Geek Frappe, Mac Chili, Charlotte Tilbury, Oskia RenaissanceTom Ford Bronzing Powder in Terra – it creates the shadow, requires no blending and if you’re new to contouring like I was, makes things so easy.

Charlotte Tilbury Powder & Sculpt Brush – I use it for powder and contour. The tapered shape just fits perfectly under the eyes or cheekbones.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel – I swear my skin has balanced out tremendously since using it and it shall be repurchased whenever need be.

Mac Matte Lipstick in Chili – my skin needs a muted red and Chili, while still being a proper red, manages not to overwhelm. A nice red, I’d imagine Shanghai Lily to wear.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in Frappe – I love Cocoa Bear but Frappe sort of matches my hair and it’s the perfect depth of colour to wear as an everyday wash of colour.

Diptyque Tam Dao, Nars Douceur, Burberry, Charlotte Tilbury Hepburn HoneyCharlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Hepburn Honey – if I got a quid, every time somebody said they loved how my makeup is tonal, I’d be owning the whole CT range right now but the caramel hue is stunning.

Diptyque Tam Dao – I was on the lookout for a new perfume and having tested several sandalwood offerings, I picked it over TF and Serge Lutens. Tam Dao is warm, woody and possibly a fragrance that suits me even better than Tom Ford CafĂ© Rose.

Nars Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base – I’ll keep it short, if you’ve got oily lids and need your shadows to last, this is the one.

Nars Blush in Douceur – when it got discontinued, I figured I’d be fine with Hourglass Mood Exposure but I realised my blusher wardrobe wasn’t quite completely so I hunted it down and I love. It’s matte, unlike Chanel Accent but still looks healthy.

Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream in Fair – I’ve worn this to death in summer as you just can’t tell I’m wearing anything at all but my skin looks more even and glowy.

Chanel Exception, Essie Pearly White, NYX Butter, Bobbi Brown, Chanel ArdentChanel Le Vernis in Exception – red browns are my jam and the fact this only requires one coat, makes my life so much easier.

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Ardent – this year’s Ambre Dore, that I like even more with its copper hue, it just compliments all my Mac Sable/MUG Cocoa Bear looks.

NYX Matte Lipstick in Butter – it’s like the ideal nude because instead of pink it has grey undertones and I hate pink anywhere near me so this makes me very happy. The formula is so creamy, too.

Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush – for the life of me I cannot imagine how I applied my foundation prior to owning these brush and I don’t want to remember because this blends in the product flawlessly.

Essie Nail Polish in Pearly White – I haven’t really worn it in autumn/winter but early in the year, I’ve been all over it. I blame the fact I went through the six seasons of The Good Wife last January and this is a Diane Lockhart colour and we all know I want to be Diane when I grow up.

What were your stand-out products in the past year? Honestly, I’m so over the holiday season right now (mainly, because I ordered a tonne of things and they haven’t arrived yet) but next week, I’ll be back with more chatty/update type of post. Till then – enjoy the new year!

    1. I absolutely love Powder & Sculpt. I use it daily for both powder and contour but I’m yet to try any of her other brushes, Eye Blender is probably the only one I’d be interested in.
