I think it’s pretty safe to say I’ve got my bases covered when it comes to nude makeup and strangely enough I’ve found myself completely mesmerised by the new Nars Provocateur Eye Palette. It is not really that surprising given the fact two of the shades a reds without a hint of orange to the red and I have always been partial to a teal eyeshadow. It also felt appropriate to pair this with a red lip but the reddest I’ll go these days is a burnt nude.
FACE
I am currently trying out Chanel Les Beiges Foundation in 10 which the perfect colour match but the verdict is still out of the formula. I paired it with Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NC15 under my eyes and Chanel Poudre Universelle in 20 dusted all over. I contoured with Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Terra but it was so minimal apparently I didn’t even bother including it in the pictures. I used Kevyn Aucoin Pure Powder Glow Blush in Natura for a hint of warmth on the cheek and highlighted the cheekbones and down the bridge of the nose with the real highlight of the show. Naturally, I only bought the Chanel Le Signe du Lion because I’m a Leo but Or Rose also happens to be a slightly more nude version of Nars Capri and I don’t mind it in the least.

EYES
Now let’s talk the other star of the look, the Nars Provocateur Eyeshadow Palette. It features a fairly nice pearl to peach shift shimmer, a matte red, a shimmer red with green shift, a pointless glitter that has none of the taupe pigmentation you see in the pan, a teal shimmer and deep purple shimmer. Overall, I think this was definitely worth it for the packaging, Endless Party (the red) and Exploit (red to green) but it definitely has a lot more fallout than I’m used and doing your eyes first is mandatory. I started of be sweeping Endless Party all over the socket, then packed Vinyl all over the lid and Exploit on the outer two thirds. I lined the eyes with a pencil brush and Not For Sale and then smudged a bit of Endless Party on the lower lash line. I finished off with Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Ardent in the waterline and a coat of Kevyn Aucoin The Expert Mascara in Bloodroses on the top lashes.
LIPS
Finally, I used Nars Lipstick in Morocco on the lips. Of course, I got it because of Morocco, the film but it is also a nice burnt shade that works as an alternative to red if you’re not a fan but fancy something more colourful than a nude.
I have just got a new camera today and used it to take these photos without playing with any of the settings so again, not the best photography but I hope you enjoyed the look and hopefully I’ll improve down the line.
