Rolling Project Pan Update #6

There is a lot of updates in this project and in all honesty, I probably should have done this sooner but here we are and I’m so excited to share my progress with you. I’ve been very good at applying makeup most days bar the few days where I’ve been very busy with work. I’d say even though I was doing a lot of similar looks, I was very excited about the process of applying makeup because I had more time to do it working from home. I also managed to get 20 makeup products out of my collection this year either by giving away to friends and familly or actually finishing up which really motivates me to keep going with this project. I’m rolling out 2/3 of my previous products from my mid April update so let’s get into it. Continue reading “Rolling Project Pan Update #6”

The Browny Nude Lip Line Up

Admittedly I’m not very adventurous when it comes to lip colours and would happily just wear a browny nude of sorts for the rest of my life. If you’ve followed me for a while, you might know that my all-time favourite browny nude is the Nars Audacious Lipstick in Barbara but because I’m trying to get through my lipstick in my project pan, I’ve decided not to repurchase it until I’m happy with my collection. That aside, I also have plenty of browny nude options left in my collection and I wanted to share my favourites with you in this post. Continue reading “The Browny Nude Lip Line Up”

Thoughts on the Hyped Up Makeup in My Collection

Now, I do like to kid myself into thinking I’m completely immune to marketing but what is better marketing than hyping up a product within the online beauty community. This list was interesting to put together because why I definitely research products before buying them, I have on occasions bought something only because I heard someone mention it multiple times even if I knew I probably won’t get that much use out of it. There is also a few brands that I generally consider to be hyped up and they definitely made up a bulk of this list. Continue reading “Thoughts on the Hyped Up Makeup in My Collection”

Hakuhodo Shopping Experience and Haul

About three months ago I exclaimed how after purchasing a Surratt brush I finally understood artisan brushes but also how I wouldn’t be shopping for any in the near future. I have had my eye on Wayne Goss brushes for ages but somehow I wasn’t keen on ordering from Beautylish and actually found that Rae Morris was a much easier option to get in Europe or Australia given that Rae Morris is an Australian brand. I was still tempted by the Hakuhodo offering and thanks to Hailey’s buying guide, I finally managed to put an order together. Continue reading “Hakuhodo Shopping Experience and Haul”

Pillow Talk Smokey Eye Look

It’s no secret I have a bit of an obsession with red brown eyeshdows and there are certainly a few in my collection starting with Nars Dolomites, pretty much all the eyeshadow palettes and a few singles I own. Now I previously discussed the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eye Palette here and featured more of the pinky beige look but seeing as the palette has now been restocked, I wanted to test if you could create a more smokey look. This whole idea perhaps came about because of the recent Julianne Moore cover for The Rake and while this isn’t a recreation, it’s pretty much reminded me to smoke out my lower lash line more often because she looked absolutely stunning.
