Minimal Makeup Bag: If I Could Only Keep One in Every Category

Even though I love beauty, I often feel like my collection got a bit out of hand recently and I wish that I had much less variety in some of the categories. In turn, I thought it’d be fun to go through my collection and pick one product in each category that I would keep if I had to only choose one. Now I wanted to be quite free with the selection so I didn’t exclude limited edition products or only picked the products I’ve used the most in that category. I am however excluding past favourites that didn’t get re-purchased (yet) because I still have some self-restraint.

7 Irreplaceable Makeup Products

There is something thrilling about signature looks and these are the key pieces of my makeup closet. I keep coming back to them and they have all been well used. Once upon a time this list would have been the filled with the likes of Chanel makeup but frankly I’ve not bought anything from the brand for years and all the products I have and like were limited edition. On the same note, the little makeup I’ve bought in the last year or so has been mostly Nars hence the majority of these but still these are all products I have repurchased and desperately trying, have failed to find shades and formulas that can compete with them. The lack of face products on this list simply proves that I am yet to find a product that both matches me and looks seamless on the skin.

Beauty Products Worth Splurging On

There is no point denying that I have a thing about high-end makeup. The quality’s better, the selection’s better, the feel is more satisfying. While I used to just stock up at the Chanel counter in the past, I’m slowly venturing into all the other brands (although that might change because their Les Automnales collection is to die for!) Anyway, I figured I’d put together a post that would include my very top five products that are just irreplaceable in my collection.

June wasn’t too bad considering I finally got my much needed holiday and could catch up on everything which in the end just ended up being a couple of TV shows. In the beauty department, it was mostly make-up free days but whenever I had to go out, I would slap on a few of these.

May… it’s safe to say I’m happy it’s finally over so I can take a deep breath and relax. In terms of makeup, I haven’t really bought any new products so like I did last month, I thought I’d throw in a couple other non-beauty related favourites.
