Rosy Brown Makeup Look

I am a big advocate of the monochrome makeup looks and rosy brown tones are some of my favourites to do this with. I definitely need to add a bit of rosiness into my skin but don’t like bright shades on my skin so rosy browns are very flattering on me. I picked out some of my favourites rosy tones for this look including Hourglass Diffused Bronze Light which is a stunning bronze tone on my skin, Nars Douceur has also been a long go-to neutral blush (I’m panning mine but there are a lot of alternatives out there) and the Tom Ford Sous Le Sable palette. Sous Le Sable is fantastic rosy palette that doesn’t pull too peachy on warm complexion like mine and it makes for a gorgeous matte look and these mattes are some of the easiest to work with in my collection.

The Nars Provocateur Makeup Look

I think it’s pretty safe to say I’ve got my bases covered when it comes to nude makeup and strangely enough I’ve found myself completely mesmerised by the new Nars Provocateur Eye Palette. It is not really that surprising given the fact two of the shades a reds without a hint of orange to the red and I have always been partial to a teal eyeshadow. It also felt appropriate to pair this with a red lip but the reddest I’ll go these days is a burnt nude.

7 Irreplaceable Makeup Products

There is something thrilling about signature looks and these are the key pieces of my makeup closet. I keep coming back to them and they have all been well used. Once upon a time this list would have been the filled with the likes of Chanel makeup but frankly I’ve not bought anything from the brand for years and all the products I have and like were limited edition. On the same note, the little makeup I’ve bought in the last year or so has been mostly Nars hence the majority of these but still these are all products I have repurchased and desperately trying, have failed to find shades and formulas that can compete with them. The lack of face products on this list simply proves that I am yet to find a product that both matches me and looks seamless on the skin.

So I guess the key to work makeup is finding balance between professional and not over the top and I won’t suggest wearing mascara and concealer because I’m one of those people who get up early just so they can spend thirty minutes doing their makeup.
