Nars is one of my favourite brands and they do cheek products extremely well so when they came out with the Matte Bronzing Powders a couple of months ago I was extremely tempted. I am big fan of the Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer in Falaises so at first I couldn’t decide on the shade not being able to go into store. I have way too many bronzers but after months of toying with the idea of purchasing this one, I finally bit the bullet and definitely don’t regret it. If you were considering it as well, despite these coming out in with the Laguna Collection, I believe these are part of the permanent range for now. Minimal Makeup Bag: If I Could Only Keep One in Every Category
Even though I love beauty, I often feel like my collection got a bit out of hand recently and I wish that I had much less variety in some of the categories. In turn, I thought it’d be fun to go through my collection and pick one product in each category that I would keep if I had to only choose one. Now I wanted to be quite free with the selection so I didn’t exclude limited edition products or only picked the products I’ve used the most in that category. I am however excluding past favourites that didn’t get re-purchased (yet) because I still have some self-restraint. Continue reading “Minimal Makeup Bag: If I Could Only Keep One in Every Category”
Fenty Hydrating Foundation in 100 Review + Comparison Swatches
This review is definitely coming really late especially given how excited I was for the Fenty Hydrating Foundation to launch but I wanted to thoroughly test this foundation before the review and admittedly I got a little bit distracted with the Pat McGrath Skin Fetish. Comparing Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronze in Tantalize and Tantastic
Having red hair and yellow undertones makes finding bronzers quite a challenge. Anything yellow toned (think Benefit Hoola Lite) will make me look like I have jaundice and that’s the last thing I need. On top of that, the more neutral tone the more muddy it can look on my skin and despite its cult following, Marc Jacobs Omega Bronze in Tantastic is very much borderline too neutral to look flattering on me so I’ll say I was fairly intrigued when Tantalize came out because I’ve often reached for darker toned bronzers because the undertone turned was more of what I was looking for. Ranking Concealers For Fair Skin
I’ve taken a month break away from the blog that initially started because of the heatwave and then continued for the whole month mainly because I didn’t have time on the weekends (including a delightful trip to Manchester to see The Nico Project). The funny thing was that I had all my content planned but just couldn’t do the photos but I’ve been off for a week for my birthday and finally pulled myself together despite another London heatwave.
Now onto the actual post, I’ve always been one to have a couple of concealers but within the last couple of months, I went on a bit of a concealer craze trying to find my favourite one. I have quite sunken under eyes and on top of that a very translucent skin that picks up on any veins under there so I’ve slowly come to a conclusion that no concealer will fully counteract that and it’s very much about finding the one that will do the most and look the most flattering. I don’t particularly use concealer in other areas of my face at the moment but most of these will work for that purpose as well. For reference, my best foundation shade match is Smashbox Studio Skin in 0.1. Continue reading “Ranking Concealers For Fair Skin”
