There is a lot of updates in this project and in all honesty, I probably should have done this sooner but here we are and I’m so excited to share my progress with you. I’ve been very good at applying makeup most days bar the few days where I’ve been very busy with work. I’d say even though I was doing a lot of similar looks, I was very excited about the process of applying makeup because I had more time to do it working from home. I also managed to get 20 makeup products out of my collection this year either by giving away to friends and familly or actually finishing up which really motivates me to keep going with this project. I’m rolling out 2/3 of my previous products from my mid April update so let’s get into it. Continue reading “Rolling Project Pan Update #6”

Rosy Brown Makeup Look
I am a big advocate of the monochrome makeup looks and rosy brown tones are some of my favourites to do this with. I definitely need to add a bit of rosiness into my skin but don’t like bright shades on my skin so rosy browns are very flattering on me. I picked out some of my favourites rosy tones for this look including Hourglass Diffused Bronze Light which is a stunning bronze tone on my skin, Nars Douceur has also been a long go-to neutral blush (I’m panning mine but there are a lot of alternatives out there) and the Tom Ford Sous Le Sable palette. Sous Le Sable is fantastic rosy palette that doesn’t pull too peachy on warm complexion like mine and it makes for a gorgeous matte look and these mattes are some of the easiest to work with in my collection. Minimal Makeup Bag: If I Could Only Keep One in Every Category
Even though I love beauty, I often feel like my collection got a bit out of hand recently and I wish that I had much less variety in some of the categories. In turn, I thought it’d be fun to go through my collection and pick one product in each category that I would keep if I had to only choose one. Now I wanted to be quite free with the selection so I didn’t exclude limited edition products or only picked the products I’ve used the most in that category. I am however excluding past favourites that didn’t get re-purchased (yet) because I still have some self-restraint. Continue reading “Minimal Makeup Bag: If I Could Only Keep One in Every Category”
Ranking Concealers For Fair Skin
I’ve taken a month break away from the blog that initially started because of the heatwave and then continued for the whole month mainly because I didn’t have time on the weekends (including a delightful trip to Manchester to see The Nico Project). The funny thing was that I had all my content planned but just couldn’t do the photos but I’ve been off for a week for my birthday and finally pulled myself together despite another London heatwave.
Now onto the actual post, I’ve always been one to have a couple of concealers but within the last couple of months, I went on a bit of a concealer craze trying to find my favourite one. I have quite sunken under eyes and on top of that a very translucent skin that picks up on any veins under there so I’ve slowly come to a conclusion that no concealer will fully counteract that and it’s very much about finding the one that will do the most and look the most flattering. I don’t particularly use concealer in other areas of my face at the moment but most of these will work for that purpose as well. For reference, my best foundation shade match is Smashbox Studio Skin in 0.1. Continue reading “Ranking Concealers For Fair Skin”
Foundation Routine for Fair Dry Skin
First up – apologies for missing out on last week’s post but I finally decided to map my domain and let’s just say, I got easily confused with some of it.
Now I generally don’t like to label my posts as for fair skin because frankly, I like my coloured makeup products contrasting with my skin tone but naturally when it comes to base makeup, I won’t be caught dead in the sun or self tan for that matter so matching for body tone is a must. As a general rule, I’d say I’m a pretty close match to MAC NC10 and I am generally the palest shade in brands that make pale shades but having said that, there are definitely people that are fairer than me. My body and neck has a slight pale yellow under tone and my face is a hint lighter and more neutral than the rest of my body with some pink in my cheeks. My skin type is dry and my main concerns are skin texture and translucent skin under my eyes. Continue reading “Foundation Routine for Fair Dry Skin”
