At this point, I frequently ponder how much of the makeup I own I will actually be able to use up and how much of it will go to waste. While I have recently added new products to my line up and there is definitely a few cheek products that I still find tempting, giving away some of the products I wasn’t using recently combined with my new habit of watching Project Pan updates while I get ready in the morning, I figured a blog post would a great way to document my own progress. Admittedly, I haven’t really looked into the rules of the project if there are any but I will run you through the goals I am setting for myself and what my current progress is.
Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream in Fair – Usage 60% – Goal Use Up
I do actually really enjoy the glow effect of this but I rarely have enough time to apply a base product so this has gone unused for a quite a while and I would finally love to put it to rest. It is also too dark for my but it’s fairly sheer so blends out fine.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly – Usage 65% – Goal Use Up
I reckon I would have finished this a while ago but when I got a backup, I also got a sample of the Soft Matte concealer which has lasted way longer than I expected and while I loved this concealer before, Soft Matte is so much smoother and hydrating on the skin with a hint more coverage. Frankly, I never found this to be particularly full coverage under the eyes but I do enjoy for spot concealing but I can’t wait to finish this now.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure – Usage 30% – Goal Hit Pan
I’ve been pretty vocal about rating the Hourglass colour cheek products below their setting powders but frankly I have quite a dent in this blush and want to challenge myself to use it a bit more. It is pinker than I usually like but I do like it with some of my pink brown eyeshadows.
Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit – Usage 5% – Goal Hit Pan
I only purchased this product because I was drawn to the reddish brown but never actually used it since then. I have recently depotted it into a smaller MAC quad and hopefully I can get some use out of the shades. I figured I can use the beige as powder and mix the other two as a bronzers so I guess we’ll see how I get on.
Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette – Usage 20% – Goal Hit Pan on Two Shades
This is one of those that I used exclusively for months and then put away because I got scared of hitting pan. Now, it’s back out and I’ve finally hit pan on one of the colours. I will now try to focus on the middle and darkest shades which have slight dent. The first three shades in this palette are quite powdery so it should be quite achievable.
Mac Eyeshadow in Sable – Usage 50% – Goal Expand the Pan
I smashed this when I hit pan and tried to depot it but because this is my favourite eyeshadow, I don’t mind still working with it. I have repressed and smashed it again since and I don’t think I will bother again but like the Becca palette, this has gone unused despite me still loving it.
Chanel Stylo Yeux in Ambre Dore – Usage 80% – Goal Use up
I saw my makeup as unfinished before I applied this to my waterline when I first got it but then I became more fond of matte looks and never finished this. It is quite a shocker since I notoriously dislike gold but surprisingly this is the most flattering shade and looks fab with shades like Sable.
Chanel Stylo Yeux in Grenat – Usage 55% – Goal Use Up
This one on the other hand is a colour I simply don’t gravitate towards anymore. The formula is much stiffer than Ambre Dore so I can’t use it on the waterline but you don’t get that much product so I am willing to try and use it up.
Nars Audacious Lipstick in Barbara – Usage 80% – Goal Use Up
Despite this being my favourite lipstick, it takes a lot of effort to use up considering how little product you need to get full pigment and if I wasn’t so bad at reapplying lipstick throughout the day, I’m sure it would be gone by now.
Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Walkyrie – Usage 50% – Goal Use Up
This is actually the last lip product I added to my line up so the progress has been quite organic on this but I panicked purchased a backup and strangely haven’t used it up yet. Again, I keep forgetting to reapply it but it is my second favourite, I’m sure I can get through it soon.
